Frederick County residents can weigh in on a draft vision statement outlining the county’s collective dreams, aspirations and values in 2040 and beyond. The draft is based on several thousand surveys completed over the past four months by people who live or work in Frederick.
The outreach is part of the Livable Frederick community-based comprehensive plan process initiated by County Executive Jan Gardner. Approximately 15,000 separate comments were submitted in the surveys to describe how respondents want Frederick to be in the year 2040. A final version of the vision statement will guide county planning over the next 25 years.
