In celebration of “America Recycles Day”, Frederick County Government has announced the winners of its annual Business Waste Reduction and Recycling Award. This award program provides public recognition for local organizations that have demonstrated leadership in their efforts to reduce, reuse and recycle.
Three businesses are being awarded this year: MOM’s Organic Market, Natural Fusion Hair Studio and the Werres Corporation. This year’s applicants described a wide variety of actions designed to conserve resources, many of which make both environmental and economic sense, and all contribute to our community’s efforts to “Recycle More. Waste Less.”
