[ARCHIVED] Citizens Care & Rehabilitation Center Receives Five Star Rating for Overall Quality

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services recently announced that Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center of Frederick has received a five star rating for overall quality of care.

“I would like to congratulate Aurora Health Management and their employees at Citizens for achieving this outstanding rating,” stated Frederick County Executive Jan Gardner. “Citizens has a long-standing history of representing something good and special our community. The center has made outstanding progress since Frederick County Government retained operations in 2016 and I am confident it is on the way to continued success.”

The CMS five-star quality rating system helps county residents, their families and caregivers compare nursing homes more easily and helps them identify areas with which to rank a facility. Based on the CMS rating, Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center is considered to have “much above average” quality in terms of overall care.
