Frederick County Executive Jan Gardner announced two new programs to save citizens money. The National Association of Counties’ Live Healthy initiative has expanded beyond the free discount prescription program and now includes low-cost health and dental discount programs.
“Everyone deserves an opportunity to live healthy and have a bright future!” said Executive Gardner. “Our residents can see significant savings in the high cost of prescription medications by simply presenting the discount card. It is free to all county residents and can lower the cost of prescriptions even to people with insurance. I am pleased that Frederick County will participate in the Live Healthy Initiative and will expand the program to include low-cost health and dental discount coverage.”
