[ARCHIVED] Department of Aging Cancels “Groceries for Seniors” on Jan. 5 Due to Extremely Cold Temperatures

Residents Urged to Stay Inside and Check on Neighbors and Elderly

The “Groceries for Seniors” food distribution scheduled for Friday, Jan. 5, is canceled due to extremely cold weather conditions, the Frederick County Department of Aging announced today.

Seniors and those with disabilities are urged to stay indoors to avoid possible frostbite or the effects of hypothermia. County residents should check on elderly neighbors to make sure they are safe.
