The Maryland Department of Human
Services has partnered with Frederick and Washington Counties to open a hotline
to assist residents with available social services and state programs to assist
persons affected by the May flooding disaster. The hotline number is 1-888-756-7836 and the e-mail address is disasterassistance.dhs@maryland.gov.
The hotline serves as a referral and information sharing
resource. It does not provide direct services to households and does not
endorse any specific organization. It can provide information on
organizations and programs providing services to those who have needs due to
the flood event.
The hotline will be staffed Monday thru Friday, from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. The hotline can take messages after that time, and a response will be returned within 24 hours.
