[ARCHIVED] Treasury, Permitting Lobby Closes to Walk-In Traffic

FREDERICK, Md. – The Frederick County Planning & Permitting Division and the Treasury Department will close 30 North Market Street to walk-in traffic until further notice. All other public services and operations offered by the Planning & Permitting Division and the Treasury Department continue to be available at this location weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. The following public services and operations will continue to be offered at 30 North Market Street:

  • All Permits & Inspections services and processes will continue as usual. Residents and customers are encouraged to utilize the County’s new paperless plan and permit submittal, processing and tracking tool. The new tool can be accessed by visiting the public portal at https://planningandpermitting.frederickcountymd.gov.   • All Development Review and Planning Department services and processes will continue as usual. Residents and customers are encouraged to utilize the County’s new paperless plan submittal, processing and tracking tool. The new tool can be accessed by visiting the public portal at https://planningandpermitting.frederickcountymd.gov. Contact Ms. Ashley Reed at areed@frederickcountymd.gov or 301-600-1139 with questions or for further assistance.
  • All Treasury Department services and processes will continue as usual. Tax payments, water and sewer payments, and other Treasury payments will be accepted at the drive-thru window, as well as online at FrederickCountyMd.gov/Treasury. Documents to be stamped for recordation tax will be accepted at the drive-thru window. Abstractors may use SimpliFile to have these documents processed online by the County and the Clerk’s Office. In-house meetings with County staff may be arranged by appointment if it is determined that the matter cannot be handled remotely.
