SAVE THE DATE for Three Virtual Presentations for Older Adults and Others Seeking Information About Scams, Fraud, and How to Avoid Being a Victim
FREDERICK, Md. – The Frederick County Senior Services Division, in cooperation with the Frederick County State’s Attorney, will host three virtual presentations in conjunction with World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. These presentations will create an awareness of common scams that are often aimed at our older adult population and how to avoid them. The Frederick County State’s Attorney Office will cover a variety of types of scams including financial, social security, phone, internet, and COVID related scams. The presenters will personalize their presentations based on their area of expertise. We invite and encourage participants to attend all three sessions. To register for these free presentations, email VirtualSeniorCenter@FrederickCountyMD.gov . Please include your name, email address, and the dates of the presentations you want to attend. Once we receive your email registration, we will email you more details about how to access the programs through Zoom. A call-in option is available.
