FREDERICK, Md. – Frederick County Executive Jan Gardner is hosting three virtual roundtables to discuss how Frederick County should invest the $50.2 million in federal funds allocated through the American Rescue Plan Act. Each roundtable will focus on a different topic area: human services, health, and economic impact. Stakeholders will review results of a county survey and discuss proposals to help meet the needs of Frederick County residents and business.
“We can make a real difference in people’s lives with this funding,” Executive Gardner said. “These roundtable discussions will give the public another opportunity to be engaged, and they are a good example of open and transparent government.”
Public comments will be accepted at each roundtable. The roundtables are scheduled as follows:
- Human Services – 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16
- Health – 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22
- Economic Impact – 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 27
Each roundtable will be streamed from Frederick County’s Public Input portal. Links to each discussion will be posted to www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/ARPA, along with survey results, ARPA grant requirements, and other related information.
