FREDERICK, Md. – Small businesses in Frederick County may be eligible for a grant to help cover the costs of expanding online sales or telework options since the start of the pandemic, County Executive Jan Gardner announced today. A total of $221,000 has been set aside for the Online Sales and Technology Grant Program.
Grants can be used to pay for equipment or services needed to expand sales online or provide telework opportunities to employees since March 2020. Individual grants will be awarded for up to $10,000 dollars, depending on costs incurred. To be eligible, a business must have 20 or fewer employees (full-time or part-time) and have been in business prior to March 9, 2020.
Applications for this second round of grants will be accepted no later than Friday, Nov. 5, 2021.
