FREDERICK, MD – The Division of Public Works, Traffic and Permit Section, announced today that a portion of Gambrill Park Road, between Shookstown Road and Coxey Brown Road, will be closed to through traffic for the 2022 USA Cycling Mountain Bike Marathon National Championships. The road closure will occur on Sunday, Oct. 23, 2022, beginning at 7 a.m. The road will be reopened to traffic that same day at 7 p.m.
Motorists are advised to use the signed detour route on Coxey Brown Road, Harmony Road, and Baltimore National Pike (US 40) to reach their destinations for the duration of the closure. Local residents will be able to use this detour route to access their property during the closure.
