Closed on Veterans Day 

 

FREDERICK, Md. –  Frederick County Government offices will be closed on Friday, November 11, for the Veterans Day Holiday. Services will resume at their regularly scheduled times on Monday, November 14. 

 

Additional information related to the holiday schedule

  1. Animal Control will be closed for pet adoptions and administrative duties.  Animal Control Officers will be on duty for assistance.  Details: 301-600-1544 or visit www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/animalcontrol.  For an animal related emergency, please phone 301-600-1603.  
  2. Board of Elections: will be open to the public for Canvass Observation from 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. Details: 301-600-VOTE (8683) or www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/elections.
  3. Department of Social Services All offices will be closed. Details: visit www.dhr.maryland.gov.
  4. Health Department All divisions and programs are closed except for those that are school-based. The following programs will be open: School Health, Infants & Toddlers Program, School-based Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy. Details: call 301-600-1029 or visit www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/healthdept.
  5. The Landfill and the Reichs Ford Road Recycling Center will be closed and all recycling collections for the remainder of the week will shift one day later than the normal schedule.  Details:  Office of Recycling at 301-600-2960 or visit www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/recycle.
  6. Frederick County Public Libraries will be closed on Friday. Virtual resources and services are still available 24/7 at www.fcpl.org.
  7. TransIT Services: The TransIT office will be closed. Connector service will run on a Weekday Holiday Schedule. Peak-hour and the 61 Connector service will be canceled. Shuttle service will operate on a regular schedule. TransIT-plus service will not operate. MARC Train will operate on a “R” schedule and MDOT MTA Commuter Bus service will not operate.   8. Frederick County Courts: District and Circuit Courts are closed.
  9.
