FREDERICK, Md – The over-height warning portal on Roddy Road south of the covered bridge near Thurmont has been repaired after being struck and damaged by a vehicle early Wednesday morning. The road is now open to traffic. The portal, near Thurmont, was installed to alert drivers when their vehicles will not fit within the covered bridge. In this instance, the bridge was not harmed.
