FREDERICK, Md. – Frederick County Executive Jessica Fitzwater invites the public to join her at one of five town hall meetings, starting in January, to help set her priorities for the upcoming budget. A meeting is scheduled in each of the five Council Districts. The public is invited to attend whichever meeting is most convenient for them; they are not limited to the meeting in their home district.
“My core values of accountability, sustainability, and inclusion are infused in our budget discussions.” County Executive Fitzwater said. “I am looking forward to hosting these events along with the County Council Members so we all can hear from and continue to meet the needs of our residents.”
The meetings are scheduled as follows:

Middletown Fire Hall, 401 Franklin St., Middletown - District 2, represented by Council Member Steve McKay
7 p.m. Monday, January 22
New Market Volunteer Fire Hall, 76 W. Main St., New Market - District 3, represented by Council Member M.C. Keegan-Ayer

Prospect Center, 585 Himes Ave., Frederick - District 4, represented by Council Member Kavonté Duckett
7 p.m. Thursday, February 1
Lincoln Elementary School, 200 Madison St., Frederick - District 5, represented by Council Member Mason Carter

Walkersville High School, 81 W. Frederick St., Walkersville
Each town hall session will be recorded and posted online for later viewing. People who cannot attend a meeting may submit comments online at FrederickCountyMD.gov/BudgetPublicHearing. All meetings are open to the public.
