FREDERICK, MD – Frederick County Council Vice President Kavonté Duckett has canceled this evening’s Frederick County Council Legislative Day meeting. The items will be rescheduled to a future meeting. However, the public hearing on the Knowledge Farms MXD rezoning application 21-02 (amended July 2023) will now be scheduled for Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at 5:30 pm. The hearing will be re-advertised.
After reviewing the weather forecast and considering the potential for worsening conditions, the Vice President decided to err on the side of caution and cancel the meeting.
Vice President Duckett stated, “Due to the overriding concerns regarding the safety of our citizens who might be coming out to attend the meeting, council members and staff, and to aid in keeping as many vehicles off the road as possible, we will defer today’s Legislative Day items to another day’s agenda.”
