FREDERICK, Md. – Transit Services of Frederick County is excited to announce Transit Worker Appreciation Week, which will take place from Monday, March 17, through Saturday, March 22. This week-long celebration honors the hard work and dedication of the agency's employees who keep Frederick County moving every day.
From our skilled drivers to our customer service representatives, dispatchers, administrative and finance teams, Transit Services relies on the tireless contributions of its staff to ensure that the residents of Frederick County can get where they need to go safely and efficiently. Whether it’s operating vehicles across the County, answering rider questions, managing Transit-plus ride reservations, or supporting riders in every way imaginable, our employees are always there to provide exceptional service.
Transit Driver Appreciation Day, held on Tuesday, March 18, will offer special recognition to the drivers who serve as the face of public transportation in our community. Transit drivers do more than operate vehicles—they are also social workers, first responders, and customer service professionals, all rolled into one. Their dedication, professionalism, and care help ensure our riders travel with confidence, even in the most challenging conditions.
“Transit Services plays an essential role in making our County more connected and accessible, and none of this would be possible without our amazing team,” said Roman Steichen, Director. “Transit Worker Appreciation Week is an opportunity to publicly thank each of our staff members for the crucial role they play in supporting our community.”
As you board your bus, reserve a ride, or interact with staff at one of our outreach events this week, we invite you to take a moment to thank the hardworking employees who make it all possible. A simple "thank you" goes a long way in showing appreciation for the everyday heroes who keep Frederick County moving.
Transit Services of Frederick County is proud to provide safe, accessible, and reliable transportation throughout the County. We encourage riders and community members to join us in showing gratitude and appreciation during this special week.
