FREDERICK, Md. - Transit Services of Frederick County is excited to launch its brand-new Transfer Facility on Waverley Drive, starting June 2! While the 25-foot bus shelter is still on its way, we’re ready to enhance service efficiency and accessibility with this facility.

To align with the new hub, minor adjustments to the 10 and 51 Connector routes will streamline operations and better serve riders.

51 Connector Updates:

  • New Route: Left from Key Parkway to McCain Drive, right onto Route 40, then right onto Waverley Drive to approach the Transfer Facility.
  • Stops Removed: FCT126 (Key Parkway at Baker Place Apartments) and FCT412 (Key Parkway at Hawthorne Square).

10 Connector Updates:

  • New Route:The 10 will no longer serve Old Camp Road on its return to Waverley Drive, instead turning directly onto Waverley Drive, improving connections to other routes.
    • FCT387 (Old Camp Road near 7-Eleven)
    • FCT388 (Old Camp Road at Key Parkway)
    • FCT389 (Key Parkway at Elmwood Terrace Apartments)
    • FCT390 (Key Parkway at Waverley Drive)
  • Relocated Stop: Golden Mile Marketplace stop moved to McCain Drive due to the Big Lots closure.

Alternative Stops for Riders:

  • For Hillcrest, McCain, Prospect Plaza, or Carrollton:
    • FCT188 (Waverley Drive at Key Parkway)
    • FCT189 (Key Parkway at Elmwood Terrace Apartments East)
    • FCT190 (Key Parkway at McCain Drive)
  • Towards Waverley Drive:
    • FCT127 (North McCain Drive at Home Depot)
    • FCT322 (North McCain Drive at Route 40)

Starting Routes:

  • The 51 Connector will begin its trip at the Transfer Facility, following the 50 and 80 routes: north on Waverley Drive, right on Key Parkway, and right on McCain before crossing Route 40.

Thank you for your continued support as we enhance your transit experience—together, we’re keeping Frederick County moving!
