[ARCHIVED] A Portion of Kimmel Road to be Closed for One Week Beginning June 16

FREDERICK, Md. – The Frederick County Department of Highway Operations will close Kimmel Road from Glissans Mill Road to 7420 Kimmel Road beginning Monday, June 16, 2025 for approximately one week, weather permitting. The closure will be a day closure from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Residents that live on Kimmel Road will be able to access their driveways from Old Annapolis Road. A signed detour will be in place.

The closure will allow the Department of Highway Operations to stabilize the bank along a portion of the roadway where a guardrail was damaged from a vehicle accident. For additional information, contact Josh Harrison at 301-600-1535.
