Replacing Signs & Signals
The County Office of Highway Operations will replace road signs (stop, curve, chevrons, etc.) and road name signs that are located along a county road.

Please report any missing stop signs or malfunctioning signals immediately to the Office of Highway Operations. We can be reached at 301-600-1564.

To report a missing stop sign or malfunctioning signal after hours, please contact the Emergency Communications Center at 301-600-1603.
The Frederick County Office of Highway Operations maintains the following traffic signals:
  • Ballenger Creek Pike and Tuscarora High School entrance
  • Corporate Drive and New Design Road
  • Crestwood Boulevard and Corporate Drive
  • Crestwood Boulevard and New Design Road
  • Crestwood Boulevard and Westview Drive
  • Old National Pike and Boyers Mill Road
  • Old National Pike and Morning Gate Lane
  • Old National Pike and CVS 
  • Old National Pike and Mussetter Road
  • Opossumtown Pike and Hayward Road
  • Spectrum Drive and FSK Mall Entrance
  • Spectrum Drive and Holiday Drive
  • Spectrum Drive and Lowes Lane
  • Industry Lane and Guilford Drive
  • Guilford Drive and Wal-Mart East Access
  • New Design Road and Guilford Drive 

Report Any Missing or Vandalized Street Signs

Stop signs that are located at an intersection with a state road should be reported to the Maryland State Highway Administration at 301-624-8250, or to the Statewide Operations Center at 443-415-8982.
