The Frederick County Division of Parks and Recreation won three prestigious awards from the Maryland Recreation and Parks Association. The awards were for landscape design at Point of Rocks Community Commons and for excellence in marketing for two projects: the winter edition of the Recreater activity guide and a social media campaign to promote the new Discover Your Parks Challenge. County Executive Jan Gardner announced the awards at her public information briefing today.
“Our parks and
recreation programs are key components of our high quality of life in Frederick
County,” said Executive Gardner. “Congratulations to our Parks and
Recreation team for receiving these accolades. Frederick County ranks
among the best places to live in the country thanks to projects like these!”
