Hornets Nest Road - Bridge Replacement

Project Overview

This Capital Improvement project is for replacement of Hornets Nest Road Bridge over Friends Creek. The project will replace the existing multi-cell pipe structure with a new structure with an adequate hydraulic opening to reduce the frequency of water over-topping the road.

Current Status

The project is currently in the Design phase. An engineering consultant is designing a pre-stressed concrete slab bridge (Alternative 1 presented at the public meeting) for the replacement structure. Construction anticipated to start in Spring/Summer 2021.
