Covell Road Bridge Replacement
This Capital Improvement Program project is for the partial replacement of Covell Road Bridge over Little Bennett Creek. The project will consist of a partial replacement of the bridge structure with a rehabilitation of the existing historic pony-trusses. The purpose of this project is to provide adequate weight capacity over the bridge for modern emergency vehicles. The bridge has been identified as a high priority by the Division of Fire and Rescue.
This project is currently in the 90% design phase. The final design submittal is anticipated for Spring 2024 with construction anticipated to start in Fall 2024.
