The Department of Fleet Services is responsible for the acquisition, maintenance, and disposal of the County’s vehicles and equipment. The department also manages the County’s fuel inventory and tracks all fuel dispensed into County vehicles. The Department of Fleet Services is engaged in a comprehensive collaboration with the Division of Energy and Environment to transition the County's fleet to alternative fuel vehicles. This initiative underscores the County's commitment to sustainability and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The partnership concentrates on integrating cleaner and more energy-efficient technologies into the fleet, including electric, hybrid, and other low-emission vehicles.
