Holiday Service Interruptions

Each year, curbside collection of recyclables does not take place on the following holidays:
  • New Years Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas
For these six holidays only, recycling collection shifts one day later than usual. PLEASE NOTE: this means that the entire collection schedule for the remainder of a holiday week shifts one day later than the regular pick-up day.

Please note:
  • The Department of Solid Waste Management facilities (offices, landfill, transfer station and recycling drop-off center) will be open on Friday December 23, but closing Saturday, December 24 through Monday, December 26, reopening on Tuesday, December 26.
  • The Department of Solid Waste Management administrative offices will be closed Friday, December 23 through Monday, December 26, reopening on Tuesday December 27.
  • Due to the facility closure, there will be no residential recycling collection on Monday, December 26 and all recycling pick-ups for the entire week will shift one day later than their usual collection day.
