Board's Purpose

The Board of Gaming Appeals hears appeals from non-profit organizations, bars/taverns, organization representatives, or distributors related to the denial or revocation of a license or permit.

Meeting Times

Meets as necessary. Individuals requiring accommodations for a disability or language translation should email EmPearl@FrederickCountyMD.gov or dial 711 for Maryland Relay Services at least three (3) working days prior to the meeting.

How to Get Involved

The Board has 5 seats plus 1 alternate seat. Appointments occur on a rolling basis and as positions open. Non-members are encouraged to attend and participate in activities.
Board members are subject to the provisions of the Frederick County Ethics Ordinance.

Per the Frederick County Ethics Law, members are required to complete an annual Financial Disclosure Statement. For more information, contact the County Attorney’s Office at 301-600-1030. Board members serve staggered 3 year terms.
